Seasonal Assistant Line Manager 2025/2026

About the role
We are looking for a candidate with some mechanical engineering skills to work in our packhouse from mid-November 2025 until the end of the export cherry packing season in late January/early February 2026.
In this role you will be working under our Line Manager ensuring our cherry sorting and hydro-cooling equipment is well-maintained and operating at optimal condition throughout the busy cherry export season.
This is a “hands-on” role working in our modern packhouse facility were you will gain excellent practical experience.

Job Requirements
- Mechanical or electrical engineering experience
- Experience using power tools
- PLC experience - Preferred, but not essential
- Be self-motivated and energetic with a great work ethic
- Have the ability to multi-task
- Work well under pressure
- You are a detailed focused individual
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Capable of working long hours
- The ability to work as part of a team is essential
- You will have excellent written and communication skills
- Capable of accurate record keeping
- Must be able to work the whole cherry harvest season
If you have a forklift certification that would be great but not essential.
